1 - Former Gran Hotel Inmigrantes. CODE 161
Millions of foreigners arrived in Argentina at the beginning of the 20th century. Many spent their first days in this hotel. A Slovenian immigrant who escaped from Europe in World War II settled here in 1948, and tells us how his stay was. Writer Julio Cortazar also refers to Argentina as an immigration country.

2 - Puerto Madero, facing the river. CODE 162
Hundreds of poems and songs have been dedicated to the River Plate, considered the widest in the world. Ernesto Sabato describes it in his novel Sobre Heroes y Tumbas, and recites it here himself.

3 - Uruguay Corvette. CODE 163
Part of the history of Argentina is anchored at this dike 4 of Puerto Madero. Here is where the first class of the Naval School graduated. Captain Dietrich, director of the museum, tells us about its history and the feats of this vessel.

4 - Puerto Madero, the last neighborhood. CODE 164
Puerto Madero is not only the newest neighborhood in Buenos Aires; it is also the result of the greatest urbanization project in the history of the city. The buildings preserve their original external structure, while on the inside, modern offices, movie theatres, universities and stores are hidden.

5 - The neighborhood of the Woman. CODE 165
Puerto Madero has the distinctive feature of being a neighborhood in which the streets are named after outstanding women. The main street is called Alicia Moreau de Justo, one of the first women to participate actively in the political life in Argentina. She reveals her tireless spirit to us in a recording from her time, after Americo Ghioldi´s death, one of her partners at the Socialist party.

6 - The Bridge of the Woman. CODE 166
Puerto Madero is the privileged area of the city dedicated to its most feminine profile. The Bridge of the Woman links the eastern and western parts of Dike 3 with a distinctive touch. Its creator, the spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, tells us what these bridges and their architecture mean to him.

7 - Frigate Sarmiento, the Great School Ship. CODE 167
The Frigate Sarmiento is one of the most traditional of the Argentine Army. This vessel has traveled over one million miles. Admiral Albino remembers his days as a cadet aboard the Frigate.

8 - The pleasures of taste. CODE 168
Puerto Madero offers as one of its main attractions a generous gastronomic display which can be found along its four dikes. Chef Martiniano Molina describes the variety of argentinian meals that can be enjoyed.

9 - Confiteria Munich. CODE 169
The Munich Café and brewery had its peak in the mid-1920s when "porteños" sought proximity to the river. With the elegance of its design, it is one of the most singular buildings of all Buenos Aires. Historian Felix Luna describes its characteristics.

10 - Old South Riverside Resort, the golden years of the neighborhood. CODE 170
During the 1930s the River Plate waters offered porteños the opportunity to cool down and have a nice time. People living in the city came here to have a swim in the river, a custom described by several newsreels of the time. Outdoor stages were also built, in which many comedians took their first steps. One of them was the wonderful actor Jose Marrone. One of his stories can be enjoyed.

11 - Natural Reserve, the hidden paradise. CODE 171
This park is a true oasis minutes away from downtown Buenos Aires. Here you can observe more than 260 birds species. And hear the nature sounds. The Siriri, Churrinche, Chiflones and other indigenous birds to dicover in the Reserve sounds.

12 - Fountain of the Nereids, female beauty. CODE 172
Sculptress Lola Mora paid tribute to feminine beauty with this fountain. At the time, the play was considered as controversial as the sculptress. Historian Felix Luna describes some of the most outstanding characteristics of the artist and her work.

13 - Costanera Sur Amphitheater. CODE 173
This amphitheater is one of the ports of entry to the Costanera Sur, the South Coastal Promenade. Here a great comedian, Nini Marshall, was honored. The voice of Candida, one of her most endearing characters, can be listened to as a tribute. Local musician Gustavo Cerati also performed on this stage. Some of his music can be heard as well.
