SHOPPING The city has several shopping circuits, each offering different articles: antiques in San Telmo, books in Corrientes Avenue, leather items in Retiro neighborhood, souvenirs in La Boca. The avant-garde in objects, clothes and decorative elements is in Palermo Viejo neighborhood.
SHOPPING HOURS Buenos Aires offers extended shopping hours. The main shopping malls – where you may buy the most renowned national and international articles – are open until 10 pm.
In Las Cañitas, Palermo Viejo, Palermo Hollywood, Barrio Norte and San Telmo, you may also shop until late at night: many shops close near midnight. These are circuits to buy clothes, shoes, accessories and gifts. There are also beauty parlors and art galleries.
POLIRRUBRO 24 HORAS Quioscos or kioscos are very special shops. There is practically one per block (and even more). They sell sweets, cigarettes and a great variety of articles you may need.
In addition, they are very useful information spots – the quiosco owner will certainly know which bus you should take, the hours of different places, the probable temperature for that night…
Many of these shops are called polirrubro (selling different articles). They are open 24 hours and work in a similar way to American drugstores.

BARGAINS Shoppers looking for bargains (books and music, mainly) may browse in remainders tables in bookstores located in Corrientes Avenue (from Cerrito street to Callao Avenue) and Av. de Mayo (from Bolívar street to Uruguay street).
OUTLETS The outlets, shops with reduced prices for season clothes, are grouped in Córdoba Avenue, from Scalabrini Ortiz street to Godoy Cruz street.
SHOPPINGS Shopping malls offer, in addition to stores, restaurants and movie theater complexes.
FAIRS To taste the real flavor of shopping in Buenos Aires, you should go to any of the many markets and fairs in the city. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, artisans offer their articles in different parks and squares.
